Oddsmakers Expect the 76ers to Lose Every Game

The 2014-15 Sixers have been called “the worst team in NBA history.” But will they finish the season
without a single win?
No NBA team has ever gone winless in an entire season. The least-winning team on record, ironically the
1972-73 version of the Philadelphia 76ers, finished the year 9-72. So while the 2014-15 Sixers sit at 0-14
and rank with the worst teams in NBA history, they’re bound to lose at least a few games.
According to online sportsbooks in the UK and Canada like Bet365 and Bovada, the answer is no. The
current odds for each of the Sixers 69 remaining games have them pegged as losers. In fact the best
odds they have of winning are 44.6% in a March 30th home game against the Lakers.
A good underdog bet?
We know that the Sixers will win at least one game this year, because it’s simply unthinkable that they
won’t. Mathematically speaking, someone could get rich picking them as the ultimate Cinderella.
Does that mean you should pick up your iPhone, flip to a mobile betting app and put money on the
Sixers to win an upset? Probably not. They’ll rain on somebodies parade, but most likely not on the
evening you pick.
As basketball fans, let’s just hope that this horrid basketball team lands the first pick in the draft and
brings in a savior.
