Poker in Latvia
It has taken a long time, but poker is finally starting to be noticed in Latvia. Even though many of the country's casinos offer poker tables, there have only been casinos in Latvia since the early 90s. Team Latvia chose Partog who won the game and went on to the finals. Partog won his place in the WCOP Divisional Finals by making his way to the top of the Latvian Tournament Leaderboard.

Online gambling in Latvia is legal, but the number of sites that accept Latvian players is limited because the government expects internet gambling sites to pay 10% tax on all profits form Latvians.
