Land-based Casinos in America are Heading Online

Online and mobile casinos, as well as sportsbooks, once legalized in USA will bring massive revenues.

At first, the owners of posh land-based casinos dreaded the oncoming of online casinos in United states and all the revenues these may take.

Even the Indian tribes worried they may go back to the poverty they experienced after most buffalo disappeared in the 19th century if the casino revenues at reservations dried.

Now, the land-based casinos realize they have no choice but to shake the hands with the devil and go online. After all, the way American gambling laws are going, there soon will be plenty of Internet and mobile casinos in the Land of the Free.

Many of well known brands, such as Caesars Entertainment and MGM resorts already made the first steps by applying for the licenses to run online poker sites in United States. For now, the licenses will be granted in Nevada but the operations are likely to be expanded into other gambling friendly states.

Wynn Resorts is also following the footsteps of its competitors and just applied for an online poker license in the Silver State. Meanwhile, Las Vegas-based Station Casinos are starting an online poker game. This will be offered for free on Facebook, but once the laws change there is no reason for Station Casinos not to offer for-money gambling.

At the same time, European online casino operators, already battle-tested and experienced with online gambling, are eyeing America. Indeed, there is going to be a rush to enter this promising territory. And who would think online poker in the US would return so quickly after some poker sites were closed last year by the Federal authorities?

At this point, anything is possible. Even legalized online sportsbooks in United States may soon be a reality. Taken both, online and mobile casinos and sportsbooks can generate billions of dollars in revenues per year.
