The Poker Players Alliance, an organization with the goal of bringing legal online poker sites in United States
to life, has once again brought players and politicians together during the latest meeting.
Titled “Town Hall”, the poker and political feedback meet was hosted at the Rio in Vegas and all participants received a unique opportunity to question Rep. Joe Barton about the current state of American gambling laws
and their future.
The location was chosen carefully, the Rio is currently home to thousands poker players as well as the creme de la creme of the poker world is gathered for the World Series of Poker.
The meeting had no entrance fee and no restriction on who may participate. The main focus is on the current political obstacles to change in legislation at Congressional level. In other words the future of online gambling in the USA.

reports that among top speakers there will be Rep. Joe Barton of Texas, proponent of gambling and the one who introduced one approach to federal legalization with his online poker bill.
Other speakers include the executive director of PPA, John Pappas; WSOP champion and known poker activist, Greg “Fossilman” Raymer; PPA directors Drew Lesofski and Rich Muny; poker Hall of Fame member Linda Johnson; and PPA Nevada director, Lupe Soto.
