Casinos in Poland
The first casino in Poland opened to the public in 1989. The number of Polish casinos quickly grew and regulation was put in place in 1992 that restricted how many casinos could operate in each Polish town. The popularity of casinos in Poland grew slowly, but today there are dozens of large casinos and thousands of small gambling halls throughout the country. The large casinos are concentrated in and around Warsaw. They are typically attached to big hotels and cater more to foreigners than to locals.
