There are no more legal casinos in Kathmandu, Nepal's capital city, after the ruling communist politicians threw all eight casinos outside the city limits in February of 2011. It is almost guaranteed that any foreigner caught for gambling in public will be used as a pawn to further the communist government's political agenda. To avoid such risks, both residents and visitors began playing at multiple foreign based online casinos that specifically cater to gamblers from Nepal.
