Casinos in Chile
Casinos in Chile have only been around for less than 20 years. During the rule of Augusto Pinochet between 1973 and 1990, casino gambling in Chile was illegal. Since the legalization of casino gambling in 1990, about a dozen major Chilean casinos have been built. The largest casino is the Vina del Mar, which offers 90 tables and 1500 machines. It is said that the Vina del Mar can attract as many as 8000 customers in a single night. While casinos in Chile are still growing, they already offer all the same games as any other modern casino in the world.

Online Casinos in Chile
There are no online casinos in Chile. Chilean casinos cannot get licenses from the government to offer their gambling services online. The government, however, is very permissive when it comes to internet gambling, and lets Chileans gamble freely at foreign websites. While not all foreign online casinos will accept players from Chile, there are many that do, and a lot of these even offer their services in Spanish for Chilean customers. While the government might some day allow internet casinos to operate in Chile, they have not made any indication that this will happen soon.
