The first Bolivian casino opened its doors just a few years ago in 2002. For more than 60 years prior to this, most forms of gambling were illegal in Bolivia. Today, casinos are opening up all over the country, even in the middle of nowhere. Once the Bolivian government gives out a license, the licensed company can open as many casinos as it sees fit. Today, the biggest casino chain is Bingo Bahiti, which is run by a Russian company. There are 15 of these casinos in Bolivia today. They have no table games, but they offer gaming machines (slots, video poker, blackjack, etc) and live bingo.
