This 20,000 square meter giant covers three floors and offers 60 tables and hundreds of game machines. The casino is run by Pinnacle, which is one of the biggest players in the Argentine casino industry. The country also has some unique cruise ship casinos, like the Casino de Buenos Aires on the Esrella de la Fortuna ship. This floating casino opened in 1999, and has over 100 tables and 600 slot machines.
Online Casinos in Argentina Online casinos in Argentina can also be found. Casino Sur was the first Argentine internet casino licensed by the government. It opened in 2002 and was run by the Casino del Norste group. In the following years more online casinos in Argentina were opened, but players continued to frequent foreign online casinos. In October 2008, the Argentine government decreed that all online gambling websites that are not officially licensed and regulated in Argentina (that is, foreign websites) were banned. Internet companies were given lists of banned sites and they would be punished if players were allowed to access them. As of March 2009 the government is considering reversing this ban.
